Kevin Collins, DVM
Dr. Kevin Collins graduated from Kansas State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995 and moved to Las Vegas shortly after. He has worked at various animal hospitals throughout the Las Vegas Valley and served four years on the Nevada State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners before joining the Northwest Pet Hospital team in 2018
Dr. Collins has always enjoyed the practice of veterinary medicine and has learned to incorporate alternative therapies into his treatment plans. Traditional Chinese Medicine has become an integral part of his daily life and he says acupuncture, nutrition, and herbal therapies have not only greatly improved his life, but also the lives of many of his animal patients.
When treating patients, Dr. Collins attempts to use a more holistic approach, but that there are conditions that require conventional treatments and medications in order to recover.
Alyssa Watson, DVM
Dr. Alyssa Watson was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She completed her bachelor’s degree at St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a dual major in Chemistry and Ancient Studies. After graduating with honors, she was accepted to Iowa State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2003.
Shortly after, she began working at a mixed animal hospital in Reno, Nevada and remained there for almost seven years before moving to Las Vegas to be closer to family. Dr. Watson has been practicing in Las Vegas since 2010 and joined the team at Providence Pet Hospital and Northwest Pet Hospital in 2019.
In addition to working in a clinical practice, Dr. Watson is a medical editor for the #1 ranked veterinary publication, Clinician’s Brief.
Her professional interests include canine and feline dermatology, reproduction, and soft tissue surgery. When not at the hospital, she is apt to be enjoying the outdoors with her husband and their two young sons.
